MAP & LOCATION

The beautiful Chindwin and Ayeyarwady Rivers are at the heart of Myanmar life.

As you travel from Mandalay to Bagan, stunning scenes unfold of timeless cities, venerated shrines and authentic river life.

The 2,170km Ayeyarwady is lined by blossoming trees and dense, mysterious forest. From the ship you can spot magnificent wildlife, like the white-necked kingfisher, graceful egrets and even the rare Ayeyarwady dolphins.

The Chindwin River is the Ayeyarwady’s largest tributary. It snakes through the Himalayas from the Hukawng Valley before joining the main river near Mandalay.

Villagers are rightly proud of the beautiful valley and its monuments. They welcome visitors with open arms and broad smiles.
